Reverse effect: Harder you try to stop things you don’t want, more easily these things happen in life.
And you are not going to succeed to thwart them because here the law of reverse effect is operating.
And this is not outside of you. The very law of reverse effect is working inside you.
It is a psychological phenomenon.

I try to explain it with an example. If someone is traveling on a train without a ticket, it is obvious that person becomes very cautious of his surroundings.
You can see that person in anxiety as if someone enters that apartment, that man becomes more cautious.
And due to this behavior, if a ticket checker comes to that part, it is obvious that man would be the target of that ticket checker.
That person is creating a reverse effect in his own mind. It is not outside but it is in his own mind and thoughts.
That person has fearful thoughts. He has done something wrong and he wants to let it go safely. He has intimidation of being caught without a ticket.
He wants to avoid bad things happen but as he is thinking more about it, so it is obvious that he is attracting it.
Similarly, the things you don’t want in your life usually occur in your life.
It is because you pay more attention to things you don’t want.
You have good attention that the things you don’t want should not happen in your life but as you are paying more attention to those things, so it is certain that those things must happen in your life.
Here the law of attraction too works.
You are paying more attention to things that you don’t want to happen and due to your more attention, you are attracting those things in your life.
You are not aware of this fact. Under the law of reverse effect, you inadvertently paying more heed to things that you don’t want.
Then what should be done?
Don’t pay attention to things that you don’t want. Instead, pay attention to things that you want.
For example, if you want that your child should be a healthy and good person then don’t condemn and reprimand him when he does something bad.
Don’t give him lecture but instead appreciate him more when he does good things. Give more attention to his good things.
When you become anxious, you are paying attention to things that you don’t want in your life. You are giving more energy to those things.
Here the law of reverse effect starts working. And you are wondering why things are happening opposite.
You are creating things by yourself. You are giving more thoughts, heed, and energy to those things that you don’t want in your life.
Instead, you should pay more thoughts, heed, and energy to those things that you want in your life.
So, be aware of your own thoughts and actions. An automatic disciple is running there. An automatic pattern of conditioning is running there.
A sleep is running there that is why you are paying attention to negative thoughts that you don’t want in your life.
Be aware of this pattern.
